5G rollout: Germany lagging in mobile network technology? | DW News

Around the world, the race is on right now to roll out 5G mobile networks. But as in other aspects of communication technology, Germany is lagging behind. A quarter of Germany still doesn’t even have access to 3G network technology, ranking the country 30th in the world. In South Korea and the US, coverage is at almost 100%. It’s a problem people in Germany are increasingly aware of. When DW correspondent Kate Brady set off to find out what issues Germans are concerned with most at the moment, she traveled to a network dead zone.
